Job summary

Graham Packaging is seeking a Packaging Specialist based in West Chicago, IL. This night-shift role operates 6 PM–6 AM, three days one week and four days the next, with duties including enforcing safety and quality standards and packing finished products according to procedures.

Responsibilities include inspecting products, following packing instructions, communicating with teammates, assisting training, keeping the area clean, and completing documentation.

Qualifications

• Regular attendance is required and punctuality is essential.
• Typing and computer usage are essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with customers and coworkers.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and complete tasks.
• Collaborates effectively with team members to meet objectives.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety, health, quality and GMP standards.
• Follow packing instructions and ensure product quality before packing.
• Notify supervisor of potential problems with product or machinery.
• Process bottles, inspect and ensure proper contamination checks.
• Operate case making equipment safely and replenish supplies as needed.
• Assist in training regular and temporary workers in packing processes.
• Keep work area clean, orderly and safe; complete required documentation.
• Limited travel may be required.
