University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center is hiring a Full-Time Night Shift Registered Nurse (RN) to join our 2 East Surgical Joint Unit team. Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse in Maryland or eligible via Compact state.
• (AHA) BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year RN bedside experience.
• Minimum 2 years acute care RN experience in Medical-Surgical/Orthopedic/Surgical units.
• Experience with post-operative orthopedic and joint replacement patients preferred.
• Bilingual candidates encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Maintain competencies for patient care and pursue professional development.
• Provide nursing care to post-operative orthopedic/surgical patients including total joint replacements.
• Perform ongoing assessments, develop plans of care, and evaluate outcomes.
• Administer medications and therapies per orders and nursing standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, rehab, case management, and interdisciplinary teams for discharge planning.
• Educate patients and families on recovery, pain management, mobility, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Demonstrate effective communication and teamwork; document care in EMR systems.
• Participate in team-building and promote a patient-centered environment.
• Provide age-appropriate care across adult population.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
