Job summary

Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic in Silver Spring, MD, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Joint and Spine Unit. This full-time role involves 36 hours weekly across rotating shifts (7pm-7am or 7am-7pm) in a collaborative multi-disciplinary team.

The RN will educate patients post-surgery and coordinate with OT/PT and Case Management for smooth transitions home. Minimum qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program and current Maryland RN licensure; BLS

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program and current RN license.
• BSN or MSN preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• At least one year of RN experience in an acute care setting.
• Proficiency with electronic patient management systems.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with patients, families and the care team.
• Provide education to post-surgical Joint & Spine patients.
• Collaborate with OT/PT/Case Management to improve patient experience.
• Assist with pain management and discharge planning.
