Trinity Health MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center is seeking a Night Shift Operating Room Registered Nurse to provide perioperative patient care in both scrub and circulating roles for a diverse patient population. Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing is required.
• BSN preferred.
• Current Iowa RN license at time of hire; MercyOneGenesis license in IA or IL required; secondary license in other state within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Scrubs and circulates on cases independently with minimal direction.
• Prepares for surgical cases and anticipates needs of patient, surgeon, anesthesia and OR team.
• Maintains aseptic technique and a safe environment for patient and staff.
• Communicates effectively with patient, staff, physicians, and families.
• Participates in orientation and training of new personnel.
• Utilizes computer in surgical documentation and disposition of specimens.
