Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a perioperative registered nurse to provide intraoperative patient care across all ages, from neonates to geriatrics. You will scrub and circulate, prepare for surgical cases, and ensure aseptic technique while supporting the OR team.

The role requires call, weekends, nights and holidays as scheduled; BLS certification and Iowa RN licensure are required, along with strong communication skills, and English proficiency for effective care delivery.

Qualifications

• Possession of a current or compact state license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Iowa.
• Operating Room experience preferred.
• BLS certified within six weeks of hire.
• Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training within three months of hire.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Scrubs and circulates on cases independently with minimal direction.
• Prepares for surgical cases, anticipating needs of patient, surgeon, anesthesia and OR team.
• Maintains aseptic technique and safe environment for patient and staff.
• Collects and analyzes data; assesses patient for nursing diagnosis.
• Communicates effectively with patient, staff, physicians and families.
• Initiates and directs room cleanup and turnover.
