Job summary

ABB Optical Group is seeking a Manufacturing-Optical Lab Technician in Hawthorne, NY. The role focuses on precise lens processing, frame handling, and finishing tasks within a fast-paced lab environment.

Responsibilities include measuring frames, matching job tickets, packaging finished work, and operating finishing equipment with strict adherence to SOPs. Overtime may be required, with potential bonus plans and healthcare considerations for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Entry-level: no specific prior work experience required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Use tracing machine to measure frame, print and match paperwork to trays, and locate lenses per job ticket.
• Invoice and package finished jobs; scan and bin into customer boxes for shipment.
• Sort and receive frames, place in color-coded trays, and maintain organization in the lab.
• Secure lenses in holding tools for processing; operate equipment and clear errors; maintain tools.
• Mount and edge lenses; tint and mark lenses; ensure proper tint axis and color.
