Job summary

Mars Petcare is seeking an Operator 2 for the Night shift at our Kansas City, MO facility. You will operate equipment, troubleshoot issues, conduct change-overs, and ensure GMP and HACCP compliance while maintaining quality standards.

The role emphasizes safe operation, teamwork, and the ability to lead temporary staff during production runs. A high school diploma and strong communication are required.

Qualifications

• General safety policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of local, federal, and industry regulations with regards to: Food Safety (GMP, HACCP).
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to complete the conversion process and package finished product prior to shipping.
• Conduct problem solving and troubleshooting as necessary.
• Load packaged material, clear jams, reset faults, and conduct change-overs.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance tasks (CILs) and ensure quality & food safety conformance.
• Provide informal leadership to temporary associates during production.
