Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead hourly staff at our Avondale location. You will oversee daily tasks, scheduling, and customer service delivery, ensuring adherence to cost objectives and service standards.

Responsibilities include performance management, coaching, and involvement in hiring, with a focus on safety and process improvement to support growth and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership qualities with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with associates and customers.
• Ability to work efficiently and independently with strong time management and organizational skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills are required.
• Ability to drive process improvement and lead change.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Supervise drivers and hourly staff to meet customer requirements and company goals.
• Plan and supervise dispatch, loading/unloading, and documentation.
• Conduct team meetings and provide coaching.
• Manage attendance, productivity, and performance; implement corrective actions.
• Ensure safety compliance and maintain accurate records.
