Job summary

Orizon in Chanute, KS is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead manufacturing teams, supervise daily activities, and reinforce the company's mission, goals, and quality standards on the shop floor.

The role requires planning and scheduling, coaching staff, driving continuous improvement, monitoring performance metrics, and maintaining a safe, efficient environment to meet production, quality and on-time delivery targets for customers.

Qualifications

• 5 years in a supervision role.
• Understanding of basic to advanced assembly skills.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles (5S, Value Stream Mapping, Process Improvement).
• Experience with tooling, fixtures, materials and processes.
• Excellent verbal, written and listening skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Detail oriented and able to define problems and analyze data.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and assign personnel to meet production goals.
• Communicate expectations and monitor progress; drive performance.
• Develop solutions to assembly problems using analysis.
• Review management reports; track quality, productivity and efficiency.
• Coordinate with other departments to optimize the overall process.
• Develop a team environment; set goals and support continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance Procedures; conduct self-audits.
• Provide performance feedback and assist in staff development.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and proper use of equipment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
