Job summary

Airgas in Star, MS is seeking an Operations Expeditor Supervisor (Night) to oversee and support daily distribution and plant yard activities, including ADI driver activity, loading/unloading, vendor operations, and asset management.

You will collaborate with the Branch Manager and Plant Manager to maintain safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance while driving efficiency and data accuracy for inspections and audits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma plus extensive supervisory experience in an industrial setting.
• Strong decision-making skills to enforce policies and discipline staff fairly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for reports and records.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
• Ability to lead in a noisy environment and lift 5-50 lb.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations in the manufacturing yard and ensure safety compliance.
• Balance transportation and vendor schedules for safe traffic flow.
• Coordinate with Production to streamline floor operations and communicate status.
• Plan workforce scheduling and coverage for loading/unloading personnel.
• Maintain asset tracking and ensure regulatory standards are met.
• Assist with safety improvements and equipment maintenance planning.
