Job summary

Airgas is seeking a Production Supervisor for the night shift at their Star, MS dry ice facility. You will guide plant operators through production, packaging, and shipping prep while ensuring safe startup and shutdown of the plant.

You will mentor and evaluate staff, coordinate with the branch for resources, and uphold Airgas safety and quality standards. On-call shift requirements apply, with strong emphasis on teamwork and communication.

Qualifications

• High School diploma with extensive experience; 3+ years supervising 10+ production workers in an industrial setting.
• Strong decision-making skills to enforce policies, plant procedures, and discipline staff.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, email) and budgeting/cost control basics.

Responsibilities

• Guide plant operators in production, packaging, and shipping prep.
• Coordinate with the local branch to match production resources with demand.
• Interview and evaluate new production associates; conduct annual reviews.
• Mentor, train, and guide staff to align with safety, quality, and policies.
• Identify safety hazards and quality deficiencies; operate forklift when needed.
