Job summary

Airgas is hiring for an Operations Expeditor in Star, MS to supervise the site yard operations during night shifts, including loading/unloading, asset management, and safety compliance.

You will partner with the Distribution Branch Manager and Plant Manager to maintain efficient, safe operations, manage schedules, track assets, and ensure adherence to Airgas standards and OSHA requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 3+ years supervising 10+ workers.
• Strong decision-making and discipline; familiar with OSHA regs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; good reporting and inventory skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily manufacturing yard operations and asset handling.
• Balance transportation and vendor schedules for safety and policy alignment.
• Coordinate with Production to communicate status and prevent shipping backlogs.
• Plan workforce, shifts, and coverage for loading/unloading.
• Track on-site assets and ensure asset availability.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and safety improvements.
