Job summary

Virtua Health in South Jersey is seeking a One-to-One Observer for the night shift on-site. The role provides constant patient observation and supports the healthcare team, while upholding professional ethics and patient safety.

Responsibilities include continuous observation, restraint care when needed, timely communication of changes in patient status to the RN, and assisting in orientation of the healthcare team. Requires a high school diploma and completion of the Observer course.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Successful completion of Observer course or equivalent is mandatory.
• Must have strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides constant one-to-one observation of assigned patient which includes providing a safe environment and positive interaction in a calm environment.
• Provides restraint care to patients in restraints.
• Identifies and communicates changes in patient’s status to RN and responds appropriately.
• Assists in orientation of healthcare team.
• Other duties as assigned.
