Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a One to One Observer responsible for continuous, one-to-one observation of a patient to ensure safety and a calm environment. The role involves supporting the healthcare team, patients, and families while upholding high professional ethics.

The position requires strong communication skills, a high school diploma or GED, and successful completion of the observer course or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides constant one-to-one observation of assigned patient which includes providing a safe environment and positive interaction in a calm environment.
• Provides restraint care to patients in restraints.
• Identifies and communicates changes in patient’s status to RN and responds appropriately.
• Assists in orientation of healthcare team.
• Other duties as assigned.
