Job summary

Virtua Health in New Jersey is seeking a One-to-One Observer to provide constant patient observation, maintain safety, and support the healthcare team. This on-site role requires clear communication and adherence to care standards in a hospital setting.

The position is part-time with day shifts and a total of 24 hours per week. A high school diploma or GED and successful completion of an observer course or equivalent are mandatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication skills.
• Required Education: High School diploma or GED.
• Training/Certifications/Licensure: Successful completion of Observer course or equivalent is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provides constant one-to-one observation of assigned patient which includes providing a safe environment and positive interaction in a calm environment.
• Provides restraint care to patients in restraints.
• Identifies and communicates changes in patient’s status to RN and responds appropriately.
• Assists in orientation of healthcare team.
• Other duties as assigned.
