Job summary

Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Inpatient Oncology Float Pool for night shifts. You will provide direct oncology nursing care across adult inpatient units, including chemotherapy and immunotherapy administration, with focus on symptom management and patient education.

You will document care in EPIC, coordinate multidisciplinary care, and ensure compliance with infection prevention and safety standards while supporting quality improvement

Qualifications

• Associate degree, Nursing; BSN preferred.
• 1 year of RN experience; oncology/hematology experience preferred.
• Experience with electronic medical records (Epic) preferred.
• Oncology/hematology nursing knowledge and certification helpful.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct oncology nursing care with comprehensive assessment and care planning.
• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive therapies per protocols; monitor for reactions.
• Manage central venous access devices; perform access, maintenance, and blood draws.
• Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment, self-care, side effects, and discharge plans.
• Document care in Epic and maintain medication records and flowsheets.
• Participate in quality, safety, infection prevention, and protocol adherence activities.
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, pharmacists, social workers, and research staff; support handoffs and throughput.
• May serve as charge nurse or mentor; supervise licensed/unlicensed staff as appropriate.
