Job summary

Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is hiring an inpatient Oncology Registered Nurse to provide expert care for adults across units with focus on chemotherapy and supportive therapies. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and document in Epic.

Located in Boston, this role requires BSN preferred and Massachusetts RN licensure. Night shifts with rotating weekends and full-time benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing; BSN strongly preferred; ADN holders must complete BSN within 4 years.
• 1 year of recent RN experience is preferred, oncology/hematology experience in inpatient or ambulatory infusion setting is a plus.
• Experience with electronic medical records (Epic) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct oncology nursing care with comprehensive assessment, care planning, and symptom management.
• Administer antineoplastic therapies and supportive agents per protocols; monitor for infusion reactions and adverse events.
• Manage central venous access devices (ports, PICCs); perform access, maintenance, and blood draws per policy.
• Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment plans, self-care, and discharge instructions.
• Document care in Epic and maintain accurate medication records and flowsheets.
• Participate in quality and safety activities, infection prevention, and protocol adherence.
• Collaborate with physicians, APNs, pharmacists, social workers, and research staff; mentor team members.
• May serve as charge nurse, preceptor, or shift lead.
