Job summary

Dana-Farber Cancer Institute invites an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Inpatient Oncology Float Pool for night shifts. You will deliver comprehensive oncology care, administer chemotherapy and supportive therapies, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.

You will document care in Epic, participate in safety and quality initiatives, and provide patient education and discharge planning for adults with cancer.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing is required; BSN strongly preferred; if you have an associate degree, plan to complete BSN within 4 years.
• 1 year of recent RN experience is preferred; oncology/hematology in inpatient or infusion setting is advantageous.
• Experience with electronic medical records (Epic) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct oncology nursing care across inpatient units and perform comprehensive assessments.
• Administer chemotherapy/immunotherapy and related therapies per protocols, with double checks and monitoring for adverse events.
• Care for central venous access devices, including ports and PICCs, and manage blood draws and transfusions.
• Educate patients and families, coordinate discharge planning, and liaise with multidisciplinary teams.
