Job summary

Compliance Management International (CMI) is seeking an Occupational Health & Safety Specialist for night shift in De Soto, KS. The role focuses on implementing safety programs, hazard identification, and regulatory compliance throughout commissioning and production operations.

The ideal candidate will lead incident investigations, deliver safety training, and drive continuous improvement with cross-functional teams. This is a full-time on-site position with a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in OSH or related field; experience may substitute.
2+ years OHS in manufacturing, industrial, or similarly regulated environments.
Working knowledge of OSHA and NFPA/ANSI/NEC/ACGIH/NIOSH standards.
Experience conducting inspections, audits, hazard assessments, and investigations.
Experience delivering safety training and supporting contractor safety programs.

Responsibilities

Implement and maintain OHS programs, policies, and compliance records.
Maintain active field presence to identify hazards and support incident response.
Conduct inspections, audits, risk assessments, PHA, and MOC activities.
Support investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
Evaluate conditions and recommend hazard controls to reduce risk.
Lead safety training and onboarding for employees and contractors.
Assist in emergency drills and preparedness activities.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to improve safety performance.
