Job summary

Hims & Hers in Ohio is seeking a Workplace Health and Safety Specialist to develop, implement, and maintain health and safety programs ensuring regulatory compliance and preventing injuries. You will lead risk assessments, trainings, and investigations, with a night shift from 4:00pm to 2:00am.

Responsibilities include implementing safety programs, participating in the Safety Solutions Group, liaising with OSHA/EPA/FDA, responding to inspections, managing the site waste program, and ensuring

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in safety or related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in WHS (Workplace Health & Safety).
• Proficient with Google Docs, Google Slides, etc.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement all new safety programs and oversees behavioral based safety programs.
• Participate on the Safety Solutions Group.
• Serve as liaison for all site regulatory agency inquiries (OSHA, EPA, FDA or state equivalent).
• Respond to regulatory inspections, working directly with agency personnel. Partners with the Director WHS and company Legal to develop responses to investigations, agency requests and proposed citations.
• Oversee the overall site regulated waste program for compliance purposes.
• Oversee on-site contract security.
• Work with on-site pharmacy and lab teams to ensure compliance to OSHA, ANSI, NFPA and USP.
• Work with Workers Compensation at the FC.
