Essentia Health in Brainerd and Baxter, Minnesota, is hiring a Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care under supervision. The role supports safety, comfort, and basic needs, while adhering to Joint Commission and regulatory standards.

Applicants must meet nursing assistant requirements and be registered where applicable. The position is 0.8 FTE with permanent night rotation (11:00 PM–7:30 AM), working 32 hours per week, every other weekend, in the ICU department at St Josephs Medical

Qualifications

• 6 months of patient care experience required.
• Completion of one semester of clinical rotations within an accredited nursing program.
• Successful completion of an EH provided Nursing Assistant training within one month of hire.
• Verifiable completion of a recognized nurse aide training program.
• Current registration on applicable state nursing assistant registry.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients under RN supervision.
• Maintain safety and comfort for patients.
• Perform personal hygiene assistance and nutrition support.
• Transfer patients safely.
• Take vital signs and document findings.
• Report changes in patient condition promptly to the RN.
• Maintain a clean and safe patient environment.
