Job summary

Atlantic Health System in Hackettstown, NJ is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the Medical Surgical unit on the night shift (7p-7a). The role collaborates with physicians and nurses to deliver direct patient care, assist with daily activities, and support patients and families for a positive experience.

The position requires a Level I HS diploma or equivalent, up to 3 years nursing assistant experience, BLS, and CNA/CPR certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Level I - High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 0-3 years of experience as a Nursing Assistant or in patient care.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• CNA Certification and CPR Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily activities and direct patient care.
• Serve and collect food trays and provide between-meal nourishment.
• Change bed linen, prepare and sterilize treatment supplies.
• Transport patients within the facility for consultations or tests.
• Measure and record vital signs and provide basic treatments.
• Maintain a safe care environment for patients and families.
• Perform continuous rounds to meet patient and family needs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
