Job summary

Atlantic Health Hackettstown Medical Center seeks a Nursing Assistant to support physicians and nurses by delivering direct patient care, assisting with daily activities, bathing, meals, transport, and basic comfort.

Level I requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, BLS, and CNA/ CPR certifications preferred. You will work within a collaborative team to ensure a safe, positive patient experience across our community hospital.

Qualifications

• Collaborative bedside care and teamwork with nursing staff.
• Ability to assist with basic tasks and patient comfort.

Responsibilities

• Supports nursing personnel in providing direct patient care and assists patients with daily activities.
• Serves and collects food trays and provides between-meal nourishment.
• Changes bed linen, runs errands and prepares and sterilizes treatment trays and supplies.
• Transports patients within the facility for consultations, treatments, tests, or examinations.
• Measures and records patients’ vital signs such as temperature or pulse and provides basic treatment.
• Ensures a safe care environment for the patients and their families.
• Performs continuous rounds and check-ins throughout the shift to ensure patient and family needs are met.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
