Job summary

Atlantic Health Hackettstown Medical Center seeks a Nursing Assistant to support physicians and nurses and assist with daily patient care activities. You will help with bathing, meals, transportation, medication administration, and positioning, ensuring a positive experience for patients and families.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 0–3 years of related experience, BLS required, and CNA/ CPR certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Level I – High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 0–3 years of experience as a Nursing Assistant or related field.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; CNA certification preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support nursing staff in direct patient care and daily activities.
• Serve and collect food trays; provide between-meal nourishment.
• Change bed linen, run errands, and prepare/sterilize supplies.
• Transport patients for consultations, treatments, or tests.
• Measure and record vital signs; provide basic treatment.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients and families.
• Perform continuous rounds and check-ins to meet needs.
• Carry out additional related duties as assigned.
