Job summary
Allina Health, a not-for-profit health system in Minnesota and western Wisconsin, is seeking a Nurse Assistant to provide direct patient care under RN supervision. The role involves personal care activities, vital sign collection, and assistance with mobility and daily tasks in a night-shift setting.
Under the supervision of a registered nurse, you will help with feeding, bathing, grooming and safety of patients, ensuring compassionate, high-quality care for our diverse patient population.
Qualifications
- Must meet one of the following requirements: CNA program completion or equivalent clinical rotations.
- Must meet one of the following requirements: completion of Allina Health Nursing Assistant Academy Program or previous direct patient care experience.
Responsibilities
- Performs personal care and interventions as assigned.
- Gathers and documents vital signs and observations.
- Assists patients with feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming and hygiene.
- Assists with ambulation, transfers, positioning, and ROM.
- Observes health status data and reports changes to RN.
- Maintains safety for patients, visitors and staff.
- Adheres to policies on hazardous waste handling and spills.
