Job summary

Altru Health System in Grand Forks, ND is seeking a Nursing Assistant for a 32-hour weekly night shift (Mon-Fri 11pm-7am). The role supports licensed nurses in direct patient care, admission, discharge, and basic procedures as ordered.

You will monitor patient conditions, report changes, and assist with basic activities and transfers. The ideal candidate holds a Nurse Aide certification and BLS, with the ability to communicate clearly in English and work in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Provides direct patient care under licensed nurse supervision.
• Identifies changes in patient condition and communicates to RN.
• Assists with admission and discharge processes.
• Follows physician orders and nursing delegation.
• Maintains awareness of safety and infection control standards.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to and assists in implementing plan of care.
• Demonstrates competency with department standards of care.
• Assesses health status and collects vital signs.
• Identifies deviations from normal health status.
• Reports patient pain promptly according to SOP.
