Job summary

Allina Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support the Postpartum/Newborn Nursery at The Mother Baby Center. Under RN supervision, you will perform personal care, vitals collection, and assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.

Expect night shifts, 0.8 FTE, and a weekend rotation every other week. You must complete an approved CNA program or related clinical rotations or Nursing Assistant Academy, with a current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or 17 years with HS diploma or GED
• Completion of CNA program OR clinical rotations within accredited nursing program OR Allina Health Nursing Assistant Academy OR prior direct patient care experience
• Current BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross or Allina in-house training within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Assists with personal care: feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
• Collects and documents vital signs and health observations.
• Supports RN with admissions, transfers, discharges, and post-mortem care.
• Assists with ambulation, transfers, positioning, and ROM.
• Performs fall-prevention activities and ensures patient safety.
