Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant I to support daily living activities for residents in Assisted Living units. You will provide compassionate direct patient care under RN supervision, assist with bathing, mobility, monitoring vital signs, and reporting changes promptly.

The role requires completion of the NAI program and a high school diploma, with priority for experience in long-term care. Shift is three 12-hour night shifts, with every other weekend, to ensure consistent patient

Qualifications

• High school diploma required and NAI program completion.
• One year of relevant experience preferred; assisted living experience preferred if required.
• NAI program completion and listed as NA I in nurse aide registry; medication safety and facility-specific interventions training within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for activities of daily living.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, mobility.
• Observe patient conditions and report changes to nursing staff.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and basic clinical procedures within scope.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment following infection prevention standards.
• Collaborate with care team for patient-centered experience.
