Job summary

Allina Health is seeking a Patient Monitoring Assistant for on-site, night-shift work at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. This 0.8 FTE role involves continuous observation of up to 12 patients, maintaining vigilance and promptly notifying nurses and staff as needed.

Responsibilities include documenting data, ensuring secure entry into the system, and collaboration with unit personnel to support safe patient care.

Qualifications

• Successful CNA program completion or completed Nursing Assistant Academy.
• Direct patient care experience preferred.
• Computer literacy and telehealth exposure are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Visual monitoring of assigned patients and responsive observations.
• Monitor up to twelve patients and alert bedside staff as needed.
• Record observations and report data accurately into the system.
• Maintain a safe, distraction-free monitoring environment.
• Communicate with nurses via the monitoring device and other systems.
• Coordinate with unit personnel to support patient care.
