Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Night Shift Supervisor for the Medical Progressive Care Unit. You will coordinate patient and staff assignments, assist with patient care, and ensure smooth operations during night shifts. You will supervise clinical activities and collaborate with leadership on budget and resources.

The role requires 3–5 years of hospital nursing experience, RN licensure, and BLS certification. Management experience and nursing specialty certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nursing program.
• RN licensure in hiring state or compact licensure.
• 3–5 years of hospital nursing experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or course within 30 days of hire.
• Management experience preferred.
• Nursing specialty certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates placement of patients and staff assignments.
• Assists clinical staff with patient care and unit activities.
• Facilitates staff attendance at meetings.
• Supervises clinical activities and directs staff during changes in patient condition.
• Collaborates with the manager on budget development and resource utilization.
• Performs staff nurse duties as needed by acuity.
