Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis is seeking a Night Shift Supervisor for the Medical Progressive Care Unit. The role coordinates patient and staff assignments and assists clinical staff in delivering care during the night shift.

You will supervise unit operations, participate in staff education, and collaborate with the Nursing Administration to manage budgets and resources. Must hold RN licensure and multiple required certifications.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of hospital nursing experience.
• Current RN license in hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Required certifications include ACLS, ALS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, BLS, PALS, PEARS, STABLE, C-EFM, and other unit-specific certifications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates placement of patients and staff assignments.
• Assists clinical staff with patient care and unit activities.
• Supervises unit operations and staff during night shift.
• Participates in unit quality improvement activities and educational training.
• Collaborates with the manager on budget and resource utilization.
