Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Night Shift Supervisor for the Medical Progressive Care Unit. You will coordinate staffing, support clinical teams, and ensure safety and efficiency for patient care during night shifts.

Required is RN licensure and 3–5 years of hospital nursing experience. Bachelor's degree preferred, with management experience and various certifications to support unit operations.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nursing program.
• RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure must be obtained and maintained.
• 3-5 years of hospital nursing experience.
• Management experience preferred.
• Nursing Specialty Certification preferred.
• Change Management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates placement of patients and staff assignments.
• Assist clinical staff with patient care and unit activities.
• Facilitate staff attendance at meetings and training.
• Interface with medical staff, patients' families, and department heads.
• Supervise unit activities and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Participate in unit quality improvement activities and budget planning.
• Maintain inventory and ensure equipment and environment are safe.
• Contribute to committees as assigned.
