Job summary

East Liverpool City Hospital is seeking a Nurse Aide for the Emergency Department to assist with activities of daily living and provide basic nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Qualified candidates will have a CNA certificate (preferred), BLS within 30 days of hire, knowledge of medical terminology, and up to six months of acute care experience; a Behavioral Violence Prevention certificate within 6 months is required.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
• Current Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate within 6 months of hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and provide basic nursing care to non-critical patients.
• Maintain a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.
