Job summary

Medical City Dallas is hiring a Registered Nurse NICU for the Level IV NICU to provide expert clinical care on the night shift. This role emphasizes direct patient care, teaching, and collaboration with a skilled team in a high-acuity environment.

The position requires ADN/BSN with Magnet Hospital credentials, Texas RN license or compact, and 1+ year NICU experience in an acute care setting. STABLE and NRP/PALS/BLS certifications are required within specified timeframes.

Qualifications

• ADN/BSN required with 12 month enrollment and 24 month completion (Magnet Hospital).
• Texas State RN license or compact license accepted.
• 1 year recent Level III or IV NICU RN experience in an acute care hospital.
• STABLE must be obtained within 18 months of start date.
• Neonatal Resuscitation must be obtained within 6 months of start date.
• BLS (or BCLS Instructor) must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• PALS required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and provide direct patient care.
• Plan, implement and evaluate care plans to optimize outcomes and maximize resources.
• Supervise non-licensed nursing staff within the RN scope and policies.
• Incorporate teaching into all aspects of nursing practice.
