Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Registered Nurse in the NICU (Level III/IV) for night shift to provide high-quality, efficient care in a magnet hospital setting. You will perform comprehensive nursing assessments, develop and evaluate care plans, and supervise junior staff while integrating teaching into daily practice.

The role requires ADN/BSN, Texas RN license, and NICU experience, with certifications such as STABLE, NRP, BLS, and PALS pursued within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• ADN / BSN is required w/12 month enrollment and 24 month completion (Magnet Hospital)
• Texas State RN license or compact license is accepted
• Must have one (1) year recent Level III or IV NICU RN experience in an acute care hospital
• STABLE must be obtained within 18 months of employment start date
• Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and provide direct patient care
• Plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources
• Supervise non-licensed nursing staff within the RN scope of practice and in accordance with established policies
• Incorporate teaching into all aspects of nursing practice
