Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited college or university with a nursing degree.
• Current Texas RN license; CPR/BLS certification; NRP preferred.
• Ability to supervise licensed and unlicensed staff in a NICU setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct quality patient care based on the care plan and delegate duties appropriately.
• Perform comprehensive age-appropriate assessments and document findings.
• Develop and evaluate care plans in collaboration with the team.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives.
• Administer medications safely according to facility standards.
• Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in status with nursing interventions.
• Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges when assigned as charge nurse.
• Maintain safety and HIPAA compliance; adhere to hospital policies.
