Community Health Systems in Texas is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient-centered care through the nursing process, coordinating with physicians, nurses and allied staff to achieve optimal outcomes.

The role includes obstetrics/labor and delivery duties, medication administration, patient education, and adherence to infection control and safety standards, with night shift coverage as posted. You will document thoroughly and participate in performance improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in acute care required.
• RN licensure in state(s) where practice is required.
• Ability to perform patient assessments and document findings clearly.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of safety, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate and deliver patient-centered care per the nursing process.
• Document assessments and report changes to the care team.
• Administer medications and monitor for adverse effects.
• Assist physicians during procedures within competency.
• Develop and evaluate individualized care plans with the team.
• Respond to emergencies, including CPR as needed.
• Educate patients and families on conditions and post-discharge care.
• Maintain infection control and safety protocols.
• In obstetrics: provide prenatal education, monitor labor, and support mother and newborn care.
