Swedish Hospital Chicago is seeking a Patient Care Technician – Neuro/Stroke Tele for the night shift. The role is full-time (36 hours/week) with rotating weekends/holidays.

The PCT provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Clinical Nurse Manager and participates in patient assessments, hygiene, and vital signs documentation. Qualified candidates hold CNA certification or nursing assistant training, CPR certification, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• CNA certification or completion of accredited nursing assistant training or six months of patient care experience.
• American Heart Association CPR certification required.
• Strong communication and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsabilités

• Provides care to patients under the direction of a Clinical Nurse Manager.
• Assists with patient hygiene and elimination needs.
• Sets up room for new admissions with ECG leads and monitoring cables.
• Assists RN with admitting patients and taking initial vital signs, including COVID-19 patients.
• Helps with nutrition, ambulation, and range of motion as needed.
• Documents vital signs and point-of-care glucose in EMR.
• Maintains clean equipment and stocks nursing unit with supplies.
• Gathers linen and assists with patient privacy and safety.
