Job summary

Pursuit Aerospace in South Windsor, CT, is seeking an NDT Level II-FPI Inspector for 1st shift. The role is onsite and involves inspecting metal parts using NDT/FPI methods and documenting results per procedures.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and 1–2 years of inspection experience, with ability to obtain certifications and comply with ITAR/EAR regulations. On-the-job and classroom training are provided to advance inspections skills.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent is required.
• 1–2 years of progressive experience in an inspection capacity related to NDT/FPI testing.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.
• Preferred: Proficiency with geometric dimensions and tolerances.
• Preferred aerospace industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Detect and interpret flaws in metal parts using NDT/FPI methods.
• Prepare parts and perform NDT inspections per approved data and work instructions.
• Document inspection results and maintain records for planning purposes.
• Determine routing of parts using knowledge of technical orders and work instructions.
• Attend on-the-job and classroom training to become certified on assigned tasks.
• Open to cross-training other employees in related inspection processes and techniques.
• Ensure safety, fire, and housekeeping regulations are followed.
• Check tools and equipment for safe usage, calibration, storage, and certification.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and 6S initiatives.
• Meet visual acuity requirements.
• Generate ideas to improve work processes.
