Job summary

Georgia-Pacific LLC in Prosperity, SC is seeking Production Operators for the Prosperity Plywood facility to manufacture pine plywood panels and siding for residential and light commercial construction.

Responsibilities include operating production equipment, lifting up to 50 lbs, assembling veneer cores, following safety guidelines, reading instructions, and cross-training on machines. Night shifts with overtime availability and a points-based attendance program are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a manufacturing, military, industrial, farming, agriculture, landscaping, carpentry, mechanical, or construction environment.
• Two years or more of experience in a manufacturing or similar environment.
• Experience driving and operating a forklift.
• Experience working in wood products.

Responsibilities

• Pull and lift plywood, panels, or scraps up to 25 pounds.
• Assemble veneer cores by layering sheets per specifications.
• Assist in clean up, operation, and maintenance of production equipment.
• Adhere to safety and environmental guidelines and wear safety gear.
• Read and understand written instructions to complete tasks.
• Work with supervisors and teammates to meet safety, production, and quality goals.
• Cross-train on various machines to increase knowledge.
• Be available for any hours, including nights, weekends, and overtime.
