Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science or related field (MLS/CLS)
• Associate’s Degree with appropriate certification may apply for MLS I/II
• No minimum professional experience required for MLS I; MLS II requires certification as described

Responsibilities

• Performs waived/POC, moderate, and high complexity CLIA testing as appropriate.
• Investigates and resolves equipment, test, specimen, and workflow problems.
• Performs quality control and proficiency testing; monitors accuracy and precision.
• Prepares reagents and assists with standard/control materials.
• Monitors reagent inventory and maintains laboratory supplies.
• Reviews test results for accuracy and timely reporting.
• Reports results to healthcare providers as needed.
• Participates in teams and special projects; assists training of staff.
• Serves as technical resource; works under direction or independently.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
