Job summary

Lighthouse Lab Services in Raleigh, NC is seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Scientist II for a Weekend NIGHT Shift (7pm–7am) to join a high-performing clinical laboratory team.

The MLS II will perform moderate-to-high complexity testing, report results, and ensure quality control while adhering to CAP and CLIA standards. This position offers competitive compensation, shift differential, and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical lab experience in moderate/high-complexity testing.
• ASCP or equivalent national certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate and high-complexity laboratory testing
• Analyze, verify, and report patient test results accurately
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and computer systems
• Perform quality control and quality assurance procedures
• Troubleshoot instrumentation and testing issues
• Maintain compliance with CAP, CLIA, and regulatory standards
• Assist with training and mentoring new staff or students
• Support laboratory projects and process improvements
• Maintain inventory and laboratory supplies
