Job summary

Griffith Foods is seeking a Packaging Operator for the second shift at our Alsip, IL facility. You will operate packaging lines, monitor performance, and document production data to ensure quality and efficiency. This role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and fluency in English.

Work includes routine line changeovers, cleaning, and adhering to GMPs. Overtime may be required, with on-site duties primarily in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
• Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English.
• Basic math skills required for measurements and part counts.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX and RedZone is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete production reports and document performance.
• Enter transactions into RF equipment.
• Adjust equipment to meet quality and productivity standards.
• Duties include cleaning lines and equipment and end-of-shift housekeeping.
• Load and set film or units for form fill machines.
• Report product quality deviations or mechanical issues to maintenance or management.
• Follow GMP procedures and work instructions precisely.
