Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; science education preferred.
• 1+ year of related experience or equivalent.
• HACCP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs microbiological tests using media and procedures per USDA, FDA, State, Federal, and company regulations.
• Records tests daily and reports out-of-spec results to lead or supervisor; performs media preparation and sterilization.
• Complies with GLPs, GMPs and HACCP.
• Releases raw materials and microbiological holds when results are acceptable or instructed by supervision.
• Prepares temperature sensitive products for shipment to 3rd party laboratories as specified by customers.
