Job summary

HW Staffing Solutions seeks a Laboratory Technician in Florence, KY to perform microbiological testing on ingredients and finished products, recording results and supporting daily microbiology operations. Maintain equipment, ensure sterile conditions, and follow GMP, GLP, and HACCP guidelines.

The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) with preferred post-secondary science education and 1–2 years in a related lab setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological tests using standard media and procedures per regulations.
• Assist with daily swab schedules and required paperwork.
• Record test results daily and report out-of-spec results.
• Prepare media and sterilize equipment.
• Follow GLPs, GMPs, and HACCP requirements.
• Log samples and input results into spreadsheets and systems.
• Maintain sterile testing conditions and clean work area.
• Assist with startup and verification activities.
• Release raw materials and holds when results are acceptable.
• Prepare temperature-sensitive products for shipment to third-party labs.
