Job summary

Certified Group is seeking a Microbiology Technician to join our laboratory teams serving food safety testing across multiple brands. Prepare samples for analytical microbiology, apply approved techniques, and ensure accuracy and safety in daily operations.

The role involves night shift hours (schedule: 12AM-8AM) with starting pay of $17/hr plus a 10% shift differential. We expect strong attention to sterile technique, documentation, and teamwork within a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• Associate degree in Life Science or two years of laboratory experience preferred.
• Broad knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures of a food testing laboratory.
• Willingness to travel is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for indicator organisms, pathogens, and chemistries.
• Apply aseptic techniques in daily workload.
• Maintain media and reagents for daily microbiological testing.
• Inventory and report expendable supplies/materials needed for testing requirements.
• Provide routine preventive maintenance and cleaning.
• Perform quality control monitoring by incubation temps, controls, and media checks.
• Follow FSNS policies and procedures and customer requirements.
