Job summary

Certified Group is seeking a Lab Analyst to perform analytical and microbiological testing on food products, ingredients, and environments. You will apply approved techniques, read results, and support quality control and inventory management.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related science and 2+ years in a commercial lab, with familiarity in GLP and regulatory methods. Evening/night shifts and travel may be required in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a science field required or equivalent
• Minimum 2+ years in a commercial food-testing or analytical lab
• Experience with aseptic sampling and standard lab procedures requested
• Familiarity with GLP, OSHA, FDA, BAM, APHA, ISO and USP methods preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform and read test results; notify management of deviations
• Prepare/analyze samples for indicator organisms, pathogens and chemistries
• Apply aseptic/microbiological techniques in daily workload
• Report inventory and supplies needed for testing requirements
• Provide routine preventive maintenance and quality control on equipment
• Assist in quality-related tasks including incubator temps and controls
• Follow FSNS policies and procedures and meet customer requirements
• Stay current by reading journals and attending workshops on food safety
• Maintain neat, safe, hygienic work practices and teamwork
• Support prioritization and scheduling to achieve team goals
