Job summary

Certified Group is seeking a Microbiology Technician to join our growing team. You will prepare samples for analytical and microbiological testing of food products and environments, applying approved microbiological techniques.

The position offers a night shift (12AM–8AM) with starting pay of $17 per hour plus a 10% shift differential, and requires a High School diploma or GED with at least some laboratory experience.

Qualifications

• Laboratory experience in food testing environments preferred.
• Understanding of basic microbiology concepts and testing workflows.
• Ability to travel is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for indicator organisms, pathogens, and chemistries.
• Apply aseptic techniques in daily workload.
• Maintain media and reagents for daily microbiological testing.
• Inventory and report expendable supplies needed for testing requirements.
• Provide routine preventive maintenance by daily cleaning, sanitizing, and trash disposal.
• Maintain laboratory records and quality assurance throughout procedures.
