Job summary

MBK Senior Living is seeking a NOC Medication Technician to document, deliver, and administer medications to residents in accordance with physician prescriptions and all regulatory guidelines. The role emphasizes superior customer service and adherence to policies and confidentiality.

This position supports flexible scheduling, with full-time benefits for team members and opportunities for growth within a hospitalities-focused care environment. Prior medication tech experience is valued.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily medications, treatments and care per policy and regulations.
• Observe, verify and document that medication is ingested or applied as directed.
• Notify supervisor if prescribed medication is not administered according to directions and documenting the reason(s).
• Maintain clear, accurate, complete and confidential records on resident medication and care per procedures and requirements.
• Coordinate medication services with resident, pharmacy and physician(s) and verify dosages with physician prior to dispensing.
• Track all orders for medication changes and/or refills; prepare medications for distribution up to 24 hours in advance.
• Participate in narcotic counts at shift start/end and report discrepancies to supervisors.
• Assist caregivers and take on responsibilities as needed.
• Respond to resident needs promptly while maintaining dignity, safety and confidentiality.
• Assist residents in daily living activities including bathing, dressing, hygiene, meals, activities, and bathroom needs.
• Provide assistance at mealtime with selecting meals, serving, clearing, and delivering room trays.
• Transport residents as needed, assisting in bed transfers and mobility with safe techniques.
• Perform regular safety checks on residents and offer medication reminders.
• Encourage residents to participate in daily activities such as bed making, laundry, and setting tables.
• Clean and assist with other community activities and duties as required.
• Chart and document appropriate information including incident reports and note any changes to conditions to a supervisor.
