The Sentinel of Amsterdam is seeking a Medication Technician to administer prescribed medications to residents and monitor health status. The role supports resident engagement, promotes safety, and ensures compliance with NYS regulations in overnight shifts.

Responsibilities include documentation in MAR, reporting adverse reactions, and coordinating with pharmacies. Candidates should have NYS certification and prior long-term care experience where possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medication Technician certification (as required by NYS).
• Prior assisted living or long-term care experience preferred.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Administer medications per physician orders and NYS guidelines.
• Document all medications in MAR.
• Monitor residents for side effects and report concerns.
• Maintain safe storage, handling, and disposal of medications.
• Provide resident engagement and support per care plans.
• Respond to emergencies with first aid within scope.
• Coordinate with pharmacies for refills.
